Fruits of the earth

Nobody who has read Mapp & Lucia can hear the words "garden produce" without laughing, but nevertheless we are very proud of ours. Such beautiful beetroot......such delicious raspberries, which unfortunately nobody else will get to taste because we've eaten them. However there are lots more mange-tout peas coming which is just as well because we've manged tout those that have cropped already............

And the rest of the roof is now on, looking beautiful, new bird feeders up also so we'll see how long the local tweeters take to notice.....

Up On The Roof

Great excitement as the shed roof arrives.......those pallets are jolly heavy but thanks to the slaves they got on the roof quite quickly, whereupon we discovered that there weren't quite enough of them......oh well.
Hmmmmmmm........
There are quite a lot.....
Pretty, though.....
Cute pink bits.....
So far so good......
Taking shape......

Not steep, oh no........

This is not some new species of lichen but the chocolate out of Carrie's emergency box. Only 4 years past its sell-by date. Tasted all right though and we are all still alive

Still not at all steep
